Tax Information

Does UGG charge sales tax?

We do! Sales tax will be applied to online purchases made by customers in all states in accordance with state/city/county regulations. Sales tax is charged based on the shipping address of the order.

Colorado Retail Delivery Fee:
As of July 1, 2022, the Colorado Department of Revenue requires all retail items shipped to a Colorado address using a motor vehicle (for example a UPS or FedEx truck) to have an additional Retail Delivery Fee imposed on the order. This additional fee is only imposed on orders shipped to Colorado addresses. Deckers Brands will temporarily cover the cost of the newly imposed fee.

Are duties/taxes and brokerage fees only charged on products?

Duties/taxes and any applicable brokerage fees apply to the entire amount of the order, including shipping and handling fees. UGG does not set these fees. The government of the designated shipping destination determines duties/taxes and brokerage fees. These apply only to international shipments.

Who calculates duties/taxes and brokerage fees?

They are calculated by the shipping carrier (UPS, or FedEX) in accordance with the government regulations for the country that the item is being shipped to. These fees are collected by the courier prior to delivery, then submitted to the appropriate agencies by the courier as determined by law.

Who is responsible for duties/taxes and brokerage fees on international shipments?

The recipient of the package is responsible for these fees. These fees are not included in the shipping and handling charges on our website. Pro tip: check with your local agency for an estimate of these fees prior to placing the order.
